Geisha performers pass on the art of Shinbashi
Nadeshiko-kai is, so to speak, a bridge to the Azuma-Odori
The Shinbashi-Nadeshiko-kai is an important event that began soon after World War II as a gateway to success for the Azuma Odori, and can be called the cornerstone of that.
Young geisha take the leading roles in traditional dance and performance. Seniors play a part in teaching and performing to pass on the art.
For young performers, it is a great opportunity to make a leap forward in their art to perform a play that they have never tried before or that they have always dreamed of performing.
We hope that many of you will be able to see the results of our efforts and sincerely look forward to your attendance.
